I have tested candles from many different places and at various price points. That being said, I have determined the best scented candle for home. Don’t get me wrong, I am currently curating a list of essential candles, however this one is by far my favorite. I stumbled across this candle a few years ago at a gift shop in San Diego called Pigment. Pigment has a selection of products from local artists along with plants, furniture, and more. The candle I love is from the brand Voluspa in the scent French Cade Lavender. Voluspa was founded in 1999 and specializes in luxurious home fragrances. And although the scent is amazing, it has many details I appreciate as well. Firstly, the glass container has beautiful floral designs inspired by Japanese art. Secondly, it is just so apparent how much thought when into the design from the label to the lid.
This candle features notes of French cade wood, verbena and Bulgarian lavender. These scents definitely ring a bell. A previous blog post of mine covered Perfumes Every Woman Should Try where some of these ingredients were also present. Therefore, I may be a bit biased. If these don’t happen to be notes you enjoy, I recommend looking into other candles from Voluspa. Some other scents they have are Goji Tarocco Orange and Panjore Lychee to name a few. But to me, French Cade Lavender is the best scented candle for home.
